Randall Landscaping, Inc. uses a state of the art Finn Bark Blower during our bark mulch installations. Bark Blowing is the process of moving bulk materials through a Bark Blower machine with the speed and force of high velocity air. The materials are blown through various lengths of lightweight hose up to 200' away from the machine with great accuracy and uniform coverage, leaving landscapes undamaged and creating a perfect finished look that is unattainable by any other method. This method is exceptional.
Mulch improves the appearance of yards and beds by giving it a complete, attractive and finished appeal that everyone desires to enhance the beauty, uniformity, color and texture of their landscape. Using a Bark Blower to distribute the mulch can not only save time and money, but provide for a smooth and clean application. Unlike traditional methods of spreading mulch with wheelbarrows, shovels and pitch forks, there is no need for messy piles to clean up, no tracking mulch on the lawn or damaging the existing landscape with foot traffic and wheelbarrow ruts. By using a Bark Blower, we are able to spread mulch on virtually any terrain such as steep slopes, hillsides, rooftops, interiorscapes and inaccessible or remote areas where a manual crew with wheelbarrows cannot get to or would likely cause soil damage or an extensive mess. From the end of the hose, the operator uses a remote control to give him precise control over the flow of material creating accurate bed depths, saving the customer money by not wasting material.
One of the most important attributes of mulching is the long-lasting affect it has on the health and protection of the soil, trees, plants and flowers it shields and safeguards. Mulch protects soil from baking and drying out by altering the soil temperature and serving as an insulator to accommodate the surfaces needs in both summer and winter seasons. It also serves in the reduction of soil compaction by acting as a buffer layer from heavy rains, equipment and people. Mulching is extremely important in reducing the growth of weeds and other soil-borne diseases from intruding plants. Mulch also adds nutrients to the soil which helps improve the soil structure and plant growth. One of the best advantages of mulching is its ability to retain soil moisture allowing water to penetrate the soil, reduce evaporation, prevent erosion and drought and minimize the need for manual watering. This is especially crucial in times of dry weather and as an effort to reduce manual labor. We provide Bark Blowing services to all of our residential and commercial customers, as well as other landscape contractors and builders throughout the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire.
