Hydroseeding New Lawns – Randall Landscaping

Randall Landscaping provides professional hydroseeding to homeowners, businesses and contractors throughout Merrimack Valley and Southern NH.  Hydroseeding is the fastest, most cost-effective method of seeding a lawn.  Hillsides, banks and other odd areas that can be a problem with other types of seeding methods are also better suited for Hydroseeding.  Hydroseeding delivers sod quality results at a fraction of the cost and is often the best solution for residential and commercial lawns.

Hydro seeding is a proven technology that has been around for over forty years. Hydroseeding is the process of mixing water, seed, fertilizer, mulch and a tackifier inside a tank and then spraying it on a properly prepared area.  There are many reasons why hydro seeding works so well.  We use the highest quality seed and materials in our mixtures.  The seed is suspended in a nutrient-rich slurry.  The contact of the seed with the water in the machine triggers the germination cycle.  The protective mulch layer seals in the moisture and holds the soil in place.  The seed is at an ideal depth for good results. Mulch, seed and fertilizer are evenly distributed in the sprayed material.  The conditions are just right to produce a lush, green lawn in a very short time.

After hydro-seeding, your property will have a nice, green appearance from the mulch and green dye in the spray mix. The mulch will usually stay in place until the grass begins growing.  The grass should begin to come up in 5 to 7 days depending on soil temperatures and moisture. Your lawn should be well established and ready to mow in 3 to 4 weeks. Care for your new lawn is important, particularly for the first month.  We will provide you with detailed instructions on how to care for your newly hydroseeded lawn.
